Stacks Ecosystem

The Stacks ecosystem is unique in the sense that Stacks is it’s own Layer 1 blockchain, connected to Bitcoin differently from Bitcoin sidechains.

The Stacks blockchain recycles Bitcoin’s proof-of-work algorithm, by using a consensus algorithm that is directly anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain.

Transactions are secured by the creation of new Bitcoin blocks, and as such secured by being included in blocks on the Bitcoin blockchain itself, whilst extending its capabilities to allow building Web3 and DeFi applications also.  Yes that means NFTs too!
